Why does Patient Dashboard think this patient has Diabetes?

One of the common questions we get is when Patient Dashboard thinks that a patient has diabetes (it is included in the "Conditions of Interest" section of dashboard and/or is recommending that a Diabetes Annual Review is done) when it seems that the patient does not have any diabetes classification.

In almost every case, there is a classification but it may not be immediately obvious.  Here is how to resolve this.

Firstly, click on the "filter" button in the classifications:

Make sure that "Show Full History" is selected:

(When "Most Recent Only" is selected, not all classifications are shown - at this point you may already find that you can now see an old Diabetes classification that was previously not seen.)

Filter for all diabetes classifications.  To do this, enter "#C10" in the "Within Read" box and press enter.   Select "Diabetes mellitus" from the pop-up that displays.  The filter box will then look like this:

Click on "OK" and it will then display all diabetes classifications that have been recorded for the patient.  You shoudl then (hopefully) be able to locate the errant classification and inactivate it.
