| Description | Required. This is the text of the status that will appear when the referral is updated. |
| Display Order | Required. Controls the order in which the statuses are displayed to the user when updating the referral status. This means that you can logically group the statuses e.g. into chronological order - so that "New Referral" appears first in the list, or all "Declined" statuses appear together. Enter any number you like. We suggest using increments of 10 e.g. 10, 20, 30, 40 so that it is easier to add new statuses later and put them in the desired "place". |
| Date Text |
Optional. If you enter text here, then the user will be prompted to enter a date and this text will be used as the prompt. For example, if adding a new status of "Appointment Made" you could enter "Appointment Date" here and the user will be required to enter the appointment date when updating the status of the referral. |
| Mandatory Note | Optional. If you tick this, the user MUST enter a note when updating the status of the referral. For example, if adding a status "Declined - Other Reason" you could tick this to require the user to enter a note why it was declined. |
| Days after which action flag appears |
Optional. If you enter a number here, then when the referral has been in this state for more than this many days, the action flag text will appear on the main display. For example, if you had a referral status of "On Hold" and you enter "10", then 10 days after this status has been set, the action flag message will appear on the main display. |
| Action flag message |
Optional. This is the text of the message to display on the main screen if the referral has been in this state for more than "Days after which action flag appears" days. |
| Allow referral to be discharged |
If ticked, when the referral has this status, the "Discharge Referral" button will be enabled to allow the user to discharge the referral with one click. Only relevant if you are formally discharging referrals. |
| Indicates referral is complete |
If ticked, referrals with this status will no longer be shown on the main display. (They can be shown by ticking "show closed referrals".) This should be set for statuses where no further action is expected e.g. "Declined" or "Completed" or "Excluded" statuses. |
| Include this status in outcome reports: |
Only relevant for localities that are using the Referral Outcome Report. Indicates that this status is an "Outcome" that is to be reported. |
| Service types where this status is to be available to the user: |
Tick the service types where this status is able to be set. This allows a status to be defined once but used across multiple service types. If this status is NEVER set by a user (e.g. it is a status that is automatically set e.g. "New Referral" when a new referral is created) then you don't need to tick any service types as this status should never be set manually. |
