Fixing Covid vaccination for patients imported from Indici

When immunisation records are recieved via GP2GP from an Indici practice, the immunisation records may not be recognised by Patient Dashboard.

This occurs when the outcome recorded for the patient is not set up in the vaccine and appears as "Not in-use".

There are two steps requried to resolve this:

  1. Fix the definition of the vaccine so that it has the required outcome.  This only needs to be done once.
  2. Fix the individual vaccines recorded against the patient.  This has to be done for every patient that has been sent by GP2GP where the "Pfizer/Biontech" vaccine has been given.

Step 1- Fix the Vaccine Definition

Medtech32: Setup → Recall/Screening Vaccine

Locate and open the entry with the code "Pfizer".  (It may be inactive, so you you may need to change the filter to view inactive vaccine codes.)

Go to the "Outcomes" tab.

"Add" all relevant outcomes, particularly the outcome that has been recorded for the patient.  (You don't need to add them all - just those that are actually being used.)  For example:

This only needs to be done once.

Fix the individual vaccine records

Open up each "Pfizer/Biontech" vaccine that has been given to the patient.

Change the "Outcome" from "Not in Use" to the correct outcome (most often "Given Elsewhere").

After doing this, Patient Dashboard should then correctly recognise the Covid vaccines that have been given for this patient.
